About the Creators

At NeuroKind Education, we believe that inclusion begins with understanding. We’re a Queensland-based professional development provider, offering practical, evidence-informed training on neurodiversity and mental health for schools and workplaces. Our work is grounded in both clinical expertise and lived experience. Our mission is to improve the lives of neurodivergent AND neurotypical individuals by fostering environments of understanding, empathy, and inclusive education. Dr. Dominique Hannah is a psychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical experience, an autistic woman, and the parent of a neurodivergent child. She brings deep professional insight combined with firsthand understanding of neurodivergent identity and student mental health. Hannah McLaughlin, NeuroKind’s co-founder, is a qualified lawyer and the mother of a 6-year-old autistic child. She understands the real-world challenges families face navigating school systems and advocating for inclusion. Together, we founded NeuroKind to help schools and workplaces move beyond awareness to real, empathy-driven action.

Module 1: Understanding Neurodiversity in Education

This self-paced, CPF-aligned 1 HR PD module provides educators with foundational knowledge and practical strategies to support neurodivergent students in inclusive classroom settings. Grounded in clinical expertise and lived experience, it reframes behaviour as communication and equips teachers to recognise, respond to, and empower students with diverse cognitive profiles. The session includes classroom examples, reflection prompts, and a quiz to consolidate learning and unlock a CPD QCT-compliant certificate.

Module 2: From Meltdowns to Masking – Understanding Student Signals

Module 2 equips educators with foundational knowledge to identify and support students who may be masking, overwhelmed, or emotionally dysregulated. this 1-hour CPD module explores how neurodivergence and mental health challenges like anxiety and depression often present as “behaviour” in the classroom. Teachers learn to shift from a behavioural lens to a needs-based, trauma-informed approach, gaining practical strategies to respond with curiosity, regulation, and empathy.  The session includes classroom examples, and reflection prompts. Completion of the final 10 multi-choice quiz un-locks NeuroKind’s 1-Hour CPD Compliant Certificate.

Module 3 - ADHD in the Classroom: A Deep Dive into Presentation and Practical Support

Module 3 offers educators an evidence-informed, classroom-focused exploration of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). With a focus on both primary and secondary school contexts, this session reframes ADHD as a neurological difference in how students focus, process, and regulate—not a behavioural problem to be “managed.” The module includes real-world classroom scenarios, reflection tasks, downloadable tools,  Completion of the final 10 multi-choice quiz un-locks NeuroKind’s 1-Hour CPD Compliant Certificate.
